Today, Jacob would have been 21. Today, we as a family (consider his friends family too) cried a lot. We shared stories and squeaked out a little laughter. Today was not a day to thrive. Today was not one of those days I will mark off in a positive check box. Today, simply said, was a day we endured. Today, we endured with grace blanketed in the warmth of Jacob’s ubiquitous love.
If anyone asks what our family is about you need to look no further than this photo. This photo embodies the organic connection between Jacob and his cousins. We are missing Tay, Mac, Abby, Rachel and Ellie in this shot. The kids have always rolled with what they had. So much love.
